Okay, let's try something new. Recently (like, 5 mins ago), I was somehow reminded of an old piece of music from my verge-of-conciousness extreme youth. No, I'm not sure what that means either. Let's move on...

I've just been playing silly buggers with a nice shiny new Ubuntu LAMP server, running on an old box I snaffled from work for the purposes of 'research'. Nothing to report as yet (and frankly, when there's something to report, there'll really be nothing to report), but I'm glad I got around to it. Not sure what I'm going to do with it... probably nothing. Still, it's there.

I should code something, or write/record some music... or something, but I seem to be going through a period of going to bed at a reasonable hour. As you would expect, this leaves no time for anything but familial committments and work.

I'm sure I'll get over it soon enough, and then I can get back to watching Avengers reruns at 3am.

Late March, coming up to 3am, and I'm watching re-runs of The Avengers.

Must be time to post something for the sake of posting something.

Per the comments on the previous post, I've had a bit of a fiddle (oo-er) with my Blog template and now all and sundry can comment on any post at any time, apart from the ones you can't.

So if you've ever read anything here, have come to terms with the fact you're mind-numbingly alone in doing so, and have had the overwhelming desire to comment publicy on it... well now's your chance.

Been a while since I've posted anything, but I didn't realise it had been that long! Oh how time flies when you're off doing anything but filling a blog with meaningless and uncontributional claptrap.

"Uncontributional". Now there's a contribution right there if ever there was one.

I'm having a bit of a pissfart around with the concept of hosting a web server. Conceptually, that is. I don't intend to actual host one per se, but it'd be nice to know I could if I wanted to. I'm not yet having much luck, but I think that's more down to The Way Things Work than to me being El Stupido. I'll have to leave this box running when I go to work to see if I can connect to it from without my network here.

Who knows - if it works, I might just make another entry here. Two in as many days?! Saints preserve us. In airtight jars.
